One can truly experience all that the American Southwest has to offer in Ironwood Forest National Monument. Located in the Sonoran desert in Arizona, this site preserves 189,600 acres of habitat for ironwood trees, the longest-living trees in the Arizona desert. The site also preserves mountains, valleys, canyons, and arid sand landscapes. Three areas within the monument, the Los Robles Archeological District, the Mission of Santa Ana del Chiquiburitac, and the Cocoraque Butte Archaeological District, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The area also holds abundant rock art sites and other archaeological objects of scientific interest, as humans have inhabited the area for more than 5,000 years. To celebrate the paths less traveled in national recreation areas (these places receive far fewer visitors than National Parks), Anderson Design Group poster artists hand-rendered an original illustration in the fashion of vintage poster art and travel art. This retro design and original National Park art is available as a poster, print, canvas, mini canvas, metal sign, notecard, or postcard. To learn more about this and many other sites preserved and protected by the National Park Service, check out the dedicated webpage for the <a href="https://nps.gov/aboutus/national-park-system.htm"target="_blank">National Park System.
